  • Where an announcement is missing from Anansi's series, the change on the next row is not computed (n/a).
Method

How the data is built.

The producer price is the price COCOBOD announces for Grade I and II cocoa beans at all buying centres. It is set for each crop season, usually at the opening of the main crop, and is sometimes reviewed during the season.

Each row is one COCOBOD announcement Anansi holds: a season opening, a mid-season review, or a release confirming the price is unchanged. Anansi takes the price from the release itself and checks it against the other units the release quotes, per bag and per load.

Per-bag prices are as COCOBOD announced them: a 64 kg bag, gross weight, at one sixteenth of the tonne price.

The table shows the announcements Anansi holds and marks the ones it does not, rather than filling them in. COCOBOD's announced price of GH¢20,928 per tonne from 8 September 2023 is not yet in Anansi's series.
